ME AI message: Dutch ASML Holding will give a one-time €20k (about $22,862) bonus to employees worldwide. With demand for artificial intelligence driving sales to record highs, the company has joined an increasing number of chipmakers that are sharing performance windfalls with employees. The company plans to grant stock awards to employees worldwide starting on January 1, 2027, provided that employees remain in their roles throughout the vesting period; the awards will fully vest in early 2030. ASML’s move comes as a global AI buildout boom has led to a surge in demand for its products. Previously, chipmakers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have also paid bonuses to employees. As AI infrastructure investment brings in huge returns, more of the most benefiting companies are facing pressure to share more profits with their workers. TSMC also pledged this year in May that its employees’ profit-sharing would increase by an average of more than 30% this year. (Source: BlockBeats)
