Iran’s foreign minister calls for establishing a collective security mechanism “without U.S. interference”

ME News: On April 26 (UTC+8), Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian Araghchi called on regional countries to establish a collective security mechanism that is “not subject to U.S. intervention.” During a meeting in Muscat, the capital of Oman, with Oman’s Sultan Haitham, Araghchi said the experience of Iran shows that the United States’ military presence in regional countries will only lead to instability and division in the region. He urged regional countries to jointly build an autonomous collective security mechanism “without U.S. intervention.” (Source: PANews)
