$BTC This is not what a healthy pump looks like.

Price started moving up rapidly, while open interest began to decrease.

Looking at the liquidations, we can also see that a decent number of shorts were squeezed out of the market during this move.

This suggests that the rally was largely driven by short covering rather than new positions entering the market.

With spot demand failing to support the move as well, there is a good chance that this pump gets retraced over the next few days.

This surge is clearly driven by short-covering—there’s no sign of new capital coming in, and it doesn’t feel like it has run solid.

With this trend, chasing higher in the short term is high risk; better to wait for a pullback before considering adding more.

A typical squeeze-short scenario: there’s no volume to support it, and this kind of pump usually dumps back within a few days.

The shorts have pretty much been squeezed. Next, if spot buy pressure can’t keep up, the probability of a pullback is very high.
