I almost slipped when I selected the network and nearly hit confirm directly on the mainnet… I’m just sending a small amount, but when I checked the gas, it was dozens of dollars. I froze for two seconds and immediately switched back to Arbitrum.

You say L2 is fast, and cheap is cheap, but every time I use that bridge to cross chains, I genuinely feel a little uneasy—especially when I see some projects’ bridges randomly pausing maintenance. Lately, a bunch of people have been hyping modularization and the DA-layer narrative. Developers get excited like crazy about it, but for us regular users, we just want to transfer safely and save a bit on fees—none of that flashy, over-the-top stuff.

Anyway, my habit right now is: small amounts go through L2, large amounts come back to the mainnet, and in between I check the confirm status a few extra times. Who knows—one day the price-oracle feed might act up, and if something goes wrong, it’s scarier than a contract bug.
