AI phone penetration is expected to accelerate, with 18 stocks receiving ratings from 5 or more institutions

ME AI news. July 17. Recently, major global smartphone brand manufacturers have been actively laying out AI phones, driving the deployment of AI large models on-device in smartphones. Multiple market institutions believe that the AI phone market is expected to expand rapidly. Judging from industry penetration trends, on June 22, Counterpoint Research released its latest forecast, which indicated that in 2026, the share of worldwide smartphone shipments with generative AI capabilities will rise to 45%, and is expected to break through the 50% mark in 2027, reaching 52%, thereby officially becoming an industry standard. According to statistics, there are 37 concept stocks in China A-shares that have developed the AI phone industry chain, covering multiple links such as chip components, optical modules, acoustic devices, and complete-device contract manufacturing. In terms of performance, as of the close on July 16, seven stocks have already released announcements related to their 2026 interim performance. When sorted in the order of net profit in earnings reports (earnings express) and the lower bound of net profit in performance forecasts, Jiangbo Long is expected to achieve year-on-year growth in net profit attributable to shareholders, while Bizhi Storage and Tongxingda are expected to return to profitability. AI phone concept stocks generally receive close attention from institutions. Statistics show that 18 stocks received ratings from 5 or more institutions, accounting for nearly half of the total.
