Trump will meet with senators on Thursday to discuss the CLARITY Act
Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 17, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with several senators at the White House on Thursday to discuss the legislative progress of the crypto market structure bill, the CLARITY Act. Senators Bernie Moreno and Cynthia Lummis confirmed they will attend. Lummis said the new draft will be released in the coming days, and is expected to move into Senate consideration next week.
Lawmakers are trying to get the bill passed before the Senate’s August recess, which is seen as the last opportunity before the midterm elections. Senator Thom Tillis hopes to reach an agreement this week. Kalshi data from prediction markets shows the probability of the bill being voted on before the recess is 79%, but the probability of it becoming law this year is only 36%.
