Is position more important than judgment—wouldn’t it be better to wait for a breakdown before entering?

Honestly, BTC 65,600 and ETH 1,945 are the two levels that really need watching. If they don’t break, keep the short-bias approach; if they break, then consider longs. Gold at 4,020 is also a tough resistance—don’t rush to chase on the right side; wait for an hourly-level confirmation for something more solid.
