Asset management firm Baillie Gifford’s digital assets and tokenization head, Theo Golden, officially announced in Hong Kong at the “Innovation Finance and Wealth Management Future” event the launch of the Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund (BAGEY). The fund is the first investment-grade tokenized yield fund to meet dual regulatory compliance in both the UK and Hong Kong, aiming to expand into the Asian market via Hong Kong as a strategic hub. BAGEY was natively issued on Ethereum, with the token directly representing investors’ ownership, and the blockchain record serving as official proof of ownership. The fund supports subscriptions and redemptions in USDC and is also listed on the Solana network.
