According to NBC News, prediction market Kalshi is planning to expand the scope of contracts related to air travel delays, allowing users to trade on outcomes such as whether a specific airport will see large-scale flight cancellations. For example, before a blizzard warning, users could bet whether more than half of that airport’s scheduled flights will be canceled.

Is Kalshi trying to turn airports into casinos? It hasn’t even figured out how delayed flight insurance works—yet it’s already trading futures.
