ME AI message, according to Beating monitoring by Beating 监测, Leap (阶跃星辰) released its first smartphone STEPX Neo, equipped with its own operating system Step AOS and a personal AI agent Amoo. Step AOS sits on top of systems such as Android and Linux, and is responsible for enabling the agent to call mobile functions and third-party services. Leap’s chairman Yin Qi (印奇) said this differs from the roadmap of Doubao phones. Doubao mainly uses the agent to recognize the screen, then simulates clicks and swipe gestures to operate apps. In contrast, Leap prioritizes connecting to application interfaces. The first batch of partners includes Ctrip, Alipay, Didi, Meituan, WPS, and Jianying. After users state their needs, the agent can directly call these services to complete tasks such as hailing rides, ordering food, planning itineraries, and handling documents. STEPX Neo’s software and hardware are already finished, but its launch timeline has not yet been determined. Leap also doesn’t plan to make money from hardware profits or pre-installed ads; in the future, it will mainly sell agent services. (Source: BlockBeats)
