ME News message, July 14 (UTC+8). In a report, BCA Research analyst Felix Vezina-Poirier said a surge in oil prices could prompt the United States and Iran to cool down a Middle East war. “Both sides are willing to show strength, but neither wants to see the consequences of a further escalation.” As oil prices continue to rise, this could help bring the conflict to a resolution. He said: “There is a risk that oil prices break out of the $70 to $90 per barrel ‘dynamic equilibrium’ range, but the surge itself will trigger a cooling mechanism.” (Jin Ten) (Source: ODAILY)
