Mars Finance reports that Ethereum institutional privacy technology company EthSystems has officially launched and received strategic funding support from ecosystem backers including Bitmine, Sharplink Gaming, Joe Lubin, and others. EthSystems focuses on developing privacy technology for banks, asset management firms, and other regulated institutions, enabling institutions to execute financial transactions at scale on the Ethereum network while protecting sensitive information such as transaction details and customer identities. The company was founded by the core team of the Institutional Privacy Task Force (IPTF) of the Ethereum Foundation. The team previously carried out open-source research and development on the EthSystems website for a full year and has established partnerships with multiple central banks, regulators, large banks, and asset management institutions. EthSystems said that although institutions have begun exploring stablecoins, tokenized assets, and Ethereum-based settlement solutions, large-scale adoption still faces privacy and compliance challenges. What financial institutions need is not just access to a blockchain network, but a complete infrastructure that meets requirements for protecting trade secrets, regulatory requirements, and compatibility with existing financial systems. The goal is to build a “selective disclosure” privacy architecture, so that transaction participants can only view the information they are authorized to access, while preserving Ethereum’s core advantages of decentralization, security, and openness—and complementing it with the other two organizations: Ethlabs, which focuses on Ethereum core protocol and infrastructure R&D; Ethereum Institutional, which handles institutional partnerships, education, market research, and ecosystem coordination; and EthSystems, which focuses on application-layer technology and translating institutional needs into privacy protocols and financial systems that can actually run.
