Some analysts are calling for $BTC to reach $300,000 to $500,000 by 2029, and the math behind that doesn't quite hold up.


Those calls usually lean on growth rates from Bitcoin's early years, when the asset was a fraction of its current size.
Repeating that kind of percentage growth on a much bigger base is a very different math problem than the one that produced it the first time.
That doesn't mean big moves are impossible. It means a headline price target usually says more about the assumptions baked into the model than about what's actually likely.
Worth remembering next time a number that big gets treated like a forecast instead of a guess.
