L2Beat said it has removed illiquid RAIN tokens worth about $7 billion that are controlled by project teams’ multisig wallets from Arbitrum TVS statistics. L2Beat further noted that even after excluding the above assets, RAIN still becomes the largest asset on Arbitrum with a value of about $2.6 billion, surpassing USDC and ETH, and said this situation is “clearly unreasonable,” adding that the token shows signs of severe artificial manipulation and that further investigations are underway.

RAIN-1.13%
ARB-4.05%
USDC0.07%
ETH-2.71%

L2Beat can pull off this move, but why didn’t they do it earlier? They only started cutting once it was fattened up.

$7 billion gets excluded just like that, and RAIN still has $2.6 billion left, staying number one—this data game is played pretty smoothly.
