Tom Lee: Ethereum is entering the “ETH 2.0” phase, and it may already be close to the market bottom now

According to CoinPost, BitMine chairman Tom Lee said at WebX 2026 that Ethereum is entering an “ETH 2.0” stage. Its growth pillars include a new foundation ecosystem, agentic AI, a financial settlement layer, and “ETH is money.” He believes Ethereum is currently showing tactical bottoming signals, and if it breaks through the $1,846 to $1,876 resistance range, the next target will be $2,200. Tom Lee previously said that ETH could reach $250k long term. BitMine currently holds about 5.74 million ETH, or 4.8% of the total supply, of which about 4.87 million are staked; the company led the investment in Eth Labs and is also involved in Ethereum Institutional. Tom Lee said BitMine will not rush to complete despite nearing its 5% target stake, and understands Vitalik Buterin’s view that no single entity should hold more than 5% of the ETH supply.
