For many people, the biggest mistake when they’re young is underestimating the value of time and overestimating their judgment in the moment. Because they’ve had limited experience, they think they’ve already seen through the world, and they rush to label themselves: pessimistic, a failure, someone who has seen through life. But life isn’t a fixed answer—it’s a continuously forming process. Where you are now doesn’t mean where you’ll end up; the pain you feel in this moment doesn’t determine the outcome in the future. Don’t give up on yourself when things are hardest, and don’t end your growth prematurely. Time itself is an asset—so long as you keep accumulating, taking action, and changing, many opportunities will appear in the future.
