AIMPACT news: On April 25 (UTC+8), Gartner predicted that in 2026, global IT spending will follow a “pruned AI garden” trend. Enterprises will shift from blind expansion to precise investment, focusing on AI application scenarios that can bring clear business value and eliminating low-return projects. Growth will be driven primarily by AI infrastructure (GPU servers, cloud AI services) and AI software (generative AI platforms, intelligent automation tools), while spending growth in non-AI areas will slow down. Gartner advised enterprises to set up AI portfolio management mechanisms, assess ROI, and pay attention to hidden costs such as energy consumption, data preparation, and regulatory risks. It emphasized that in 2026, IT budgets will be refined and adjusted around AI value. (Source: InFoQ)
