A whale deposited $107 million worth of assets into HyperLend, borrowed $70.94 million, and staked HPL to reduce fees

ME News, July 12 (UTC+8). According to Onchain Lens monitoring, a certain whale recently deposited about $107.21 million in assets to HyperLend and used this as collateral to borrow about $70.94 million. The address’s current collateral includes about 1.56 million $kHYPE, and it has borrowed about 1.06 million $WHYPE. The Health Factor is 1.31, placing it at a leverage level that needs attention. In addition, the whale has also staked 12,305 $HPL tokens, which is expected to save about $68k in fees per year. It has already saved about $39.1k in trading fees. Analysis suggests that this large-scale borrowing operation indicates that some funds are increasing capital utilization efficiency through on-chain lending protocols, while also using protocol incentive mechanisms to reduce the cost of funds.
