Four Teams That Stand Out on Paper for the 2026 World Cup
There's still time until the tournament, but the favorites are already starting to become clear, with the same four names emerging in many models and public expectations.
France is considered the best due to its squad depth and tournament experience, followed closely by Spain with its control of the game and the maturity of its young generation, Argentina with its tournament DNA as the reigning champion, and England in fourth place with its attacking power and wide rotation.
Of course, the World Cup loves surprises; the favorite on paper doesn't always win the cup. Form, injuries, the luck of the draw, and the psychology of a single match can change everything in an instant.
In short, looking at it today, the favorite list is France, Spain, Argentina, and England, but the story will be rewritten when the tournament begins.
Which of these four teams do you think is closest to winning the cup, or is there a team that could pull off a surprise?
This post is for personal opinion and evaluation purposes only and does not constitute a definitive answer.
