ME News, July 12 (UTC+8). In the evening of July 10 (U.S. Eastern Time), SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung said 2027 will be the most supply-constrained year in the history of the storage industry. At present, customers are seeking long-term supply agreements with SK Hynix as demand continues to grow, but the company’s production capacity is limited. Kwak Noh-jung said that although the company is expanding capacity, customer demand after 2030 may still exceed the company’s supply capacity. Domestic investment/industry participants who have previously been in contact with Korean storage manufacturers said overseas leading storage-company executives are also paying attention to the progress of Chinese storage firms’ capacity expansions; CXMT and Yangtze Memory may become the biggest long-term variables in the storage market going forward.
