ME AI news, according to monitoring by Beating, Zhipu founder Tang Jie released an internal letter announcing the launch of the Touch High plan. Over the next two years, the company will continue to pour resources back into AGI research, without prioritizing monetizing short-term applications. The plan focuses on four directions: enabling models to execute complex tasks over the long term; allowing large numbers of agents to collaborate autonomously; achieving fully self-driven training through synthetic data and self-play; and strengthening security governance. Tang Jie particularly emphasized safety, saying that Zhipu’s plan will invest resources at the hundreds of billions level to study “mechanistic interpretability,” to figure out why the model makes a certain decision. He also said that after Zhipu goes public, it will still return to fundamental model research: “Failing to reach the top is failure.” Previously, Zhipu disclosed a new share placement of about HK$31.4 billion. The raised funds will be used for base model R&D, building compute infrastructure, and business expansion. (Source: MLion)
