CoinDesk reported that recently an AI discovered a possible vulnerability that could cause Ethereum validators to crash. Developers at the Ethereum Foundation used AI agents to look for flaws and found a remotely triggerable crash issue in the network messaging system, which has now been fixed. Most of the other findings from the AI are believed to be “confident and well written,” but completely wrong—human engineers still need to separate real threats from fabricated content.

Lol, the illusion of “confident and well-written”—a classic LLM move.

This idea of using AI to find bugs is quite interesting, but it still needs humans to review.
