Huang Renxun’s internal memo: OpenAI Codex has been opened to all NVIDIA employees, and the AI Agent era has officially arrived

AIMPACT news, 4月25日（UTC+8），Huang Renxun revealed in an internal email sent to all employees that OpenAI’s latest release, Codex (based on GPT-5.5), has officially been made available for use by all NVIDIA employees. Huang Renxun said that around ten thousand employees had already been able to try Codex in advance, achieving significant results across multiple departments including engineering, product, and marketing, and some employees said it “completely changed the way they work.” The email noted that Codex runs on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, and combined with AI infrastructure, enables a leap from “chatbot answers questions” to “agents independently complete tasks.” Huang Renxun emphasized that agents will become employees’ “teammates” and “productivity multipliers.” In addition, NVIDIA and OpenAI have set up the Codex Lab, and plan to launch training courses within the coming weeks to accelerate the rollout of employees’ use cases.
