They always give me the feeling that out there, everyone’s got phones and everywhere is full of chaos—yet when I meet them here, they’re still talking to me about this: how our boss, Sheng Huaixuan, has gotten Lord Li Hongzhang’s instructions, just split Hu Xueyan’s cake, and is planning to pull off a few more—
I can’t stand it.
Sheng Huaixuan is awesome, Li Hongzhang is awesome, but what does any of this have to do with freedom and civilization in this world?
