Low-level kindness is sacrificing oneself to satisfy others; high-level kindness is first making oneself strong, then using one's own strength to help others. Kindness is not wrong, but it must be paired with wisdom, boundaries, and judgment, otherwise it ultimately consumes not others, but oneself.
