🔥Robinhood Chain: A Wall Street-style craze explodes just 1 week after mainnet

🔴The chain went live on 01/07 and is designed for tokenized stocks and RWA. After 1 week, the most viral thing is the memecoin $CASHCAT.
New data on-chain:
- DEX volume 24h: ~$483–563M, nearly 1/3 of Solana ($1.83B)
- 193K active addresses/day, nearly 200K accumulated wallets
- TVL: ~$234M
- After CEO Vlad Tenev’s tweet “this chain runs memes too, and it’s great,” volume jumped from $32M to $433M —up 1,200% in 24h
🔴However, we need to see the truth clearly:
- The biggest inflow is not memes, but Ethena depositing $50M into the USDG vault on Morpho—just 1 deposit equals 25% of the chain’s total TVL
- Morpho + Ethena + Spark account for ~74% of TVL
- RWA—the chain’s official main reason for existing—only reaches $12.84M, less than 4% of on-chain assets
🔴It’s hard to build a sustainable chain relying only on memes:
- $CASHCAT has fallen 40% from the peak $145M down to $88M, with very thin pool liquidity
- The top 5 most profitable wallets locked in $3.7M—all coming from the counterparty side of 12,300 sell orders
- $DIH crashed 97% from the peak in just 1 day
- Tenev “turns on a dime” in 5 days: on 03/07 he criticized the memecoin crowd for going off-topic on CNBC, and on 08/07 he went on X to invite meme trading
🔴History shows that chains that once exploded at mainnet can also die if you don’t build the substance: Berachain peak TVL $3.35B is now $393M (-88%), and Blast from $2.2B is now $65M (-97%).
🔴Robinhood Chain’s biggest strength is that it is backed by a profitable publicly listed company with tens of millions of customers, making it easy to access Wall Street’s institutional capital flows. Moreover, the chain has no native token (uses ETH for gas → reducing the ratio of early farming to dump activity, then withdrawing funds).
It may take at least another 2 quarters before we can evaluate the future of the Robinhood chain.
