Abstract generation in progress
ME AI News, according to Beating monitoring insights, former OpenAI engineer Ryan Lopopolo has announced that he is joining Google Cloud as Chief Engineer for the Agentic Google Cloud Platform. Lopopolo is the author of OpenAI’s “Harness engineering.” This methodology emphasizes equipping agents with context, tools, permissions, evaluation, and feedback loops—so that agents can truly take part in software development. While he was at OpenAI, he took part in an internal experiment: the team used Codex to build a product from an empty repository, generating about 1 million lines of code in 5 months. The code, tests, CI, documentation, and internal tools were all completed by Codex, while humans were mainly responsible for goals and acceptance. This job move indicates that Google Cloud not only wants to sell models and computing power, but is also strengthening enterprise agent engineering capabilities. (Source: MLion)
