OpenClaw Foundation officially established, dedicated to promoting the popularization of personal AI.
Deep Tide TechFlow news, on July 09, according to the official blog, OpenClaw announced its official establishment of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation, jointly announced by co-founders Peter Steinberger and Dave Morin. The foundation aims to operate in an open and independent manner, with a mission to bring the power of personal AI to everyone.
Currently, OpenClaw adds 4.5 million new users every week and has become the fastest-growing code repository in GitHub history. The foundation has assembled a full-time team; core members include Chief Architect Vincent Koc, along with engineering and operations personnel.
As for partners, OpenAI provides inference support and is the leading donor; NVIDIA launched NemoClaw to support local private deployments; Microsoft released its enterprise-level agent product Microsoft Scout based on OpenClaw technology; the University of Michigan became the largest donor and established an Agent Computing Research Institute. In addition, more than 30 institutions—including Tencent, Atlassian, Vercel, and Cloudflare—have joined the partnership network.
In terms of the ecosystem, tools such as ClawHub, ClawSweeper, and Crabbox continue to be improved. ClawCon has held 34 events across 16 countries worldwide, with nearly 30,000 people participating.
