AIMPACT News, April 25 (UTC+8) — XChat, the standalone communications app under X platform (formerly Twitter), has officially launched on the App Store. Users can now download, install, and start using it. XChat is currently available first on iOS, with the Android version coming soon.

It is reported that XChat allows users to log in directly with their X account, without needing a phone number or email. It uses end-to-end encryption, so messages are only visible to both parties and cannot be read by the platform. It supports disappearing messages and arbitrary file transfers.

In addition, XChat is deeply integrated with xAI's Grok smart assistant, allowing users to summon Grok directly within the chat interface to ask questions, generate images, and summarize content, without switching apps. (Source: AIMPACT)
