"Without a firm ambition, nothing can be accomplished in the world." Ambition is like a lighthouse for night navigation, setting coordinates for life, yet it requires step-by-step footprints to measure. As the ancients said: "Without accumulating half-steps, one cannot reach a thousand miles." Time, with its absolute fairness, flows evenly in everyone's hourglass of life, neither accelerating nor pausing a bit due to any plea or waste.
However, beneath this impartial appearance, time reveals its hidden bias — it hides abundant fruits behind the deep cultivation of the "present moment," and leaves endless emptiness to the reckless squandering of "tomorrow." True cherishing of time is not anxiously chasing every inch of light and shadow, but immersing the mind deeply in the one enterprise chosen at the present moment, like a farmer bending over the field ridges, knowing that every bow in spring is linked to the weight of the ears of grain when bending down in autumn.
The wonder of life often does not lie in precisely reaching the preset shore. The road ahead is shrouded in clouds and mist, and the initial lofty ambition may wind due to circumstances. But those countless "once tried" yesterdays, those sweat-soaked perseverances, have themselves carved unique patterns on the riverbed of time.
When we look back, we may not see the expected landscape at the end of the plain, but we will surely see a solid and regret-free road that belongs uniquely to ourselves, shining brightly in the depths of time. This road itself is the most precious reward time gives to the traveler.
