China just fired a nuclear capable missile from a submarine into the Pacific.

It came down near Tuvalu which is our neighbourhood.
The launch happened while Albanese was mid tour through the Pacific fresh off signing a security deal with Fiji and landing in Honiara today to chase the next one with Solomon Islands.
The launch actually demonstrates a long range missile China calls nuclear capable, fired from a submarine, which extends the range they can deploy nuclear weapons from.
The $20 billion in Japanese frigates makes a bit more sense every week.
