ME AI News: Artificial intelligence (AI) search company Perplexity has recently confirmed that it plans to use Nvidia’s newly launched Vera central processing unit (CPU) to support its AI agent workloads. Nate Kupp, Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure at Perplexity, said that when processing AI agent coding tasks, the Vera CPU is about 1.5 times faster than traditional CPUs. He noted that this chip is well suited to the company’s core workloads. Unlike human users, who work intermittently based on tasks, AI agents run continuously, placing higher demands on the processor’s sustained throughput. (Source: Xinhua Tonghuashun)
