Very few of my stock swing trades have worked out lately.

I haven't taken many but just takes one or two runners to erase a few controlled losses in the chop.
When things aren't going well just be patient and stick to your strategies that have proven themselves over time
Don't try and take big risks to make back losses quick. If you stay diligent you'll usually see the gains come back faster than you think when you get a 2-3 winners back to back.
