⭐ The common misconception is that you always need to be in a trade
You don't always need to be in a position
New traders are always looking for new trades to take
Veteran traders wait for a chart to provide a trigger before execution
Sounds subtle but it's a big difference

🚨 Nearly $16 BILLION in #Bitcoin options notional expired this morning.
Why does that matter?
Large options expiries can influence short term price action as dealers adjust their hedges around heavily concentrated strike prices.
That can contribute to:
- Price gravitating toward major strikes
- Choppy/reverting price action into expiry
- Sharper moves as positioning and hedges reset afterward
But here's where today's expiry gets interesting:
Roughly $9.4B of the expiring positions were calls, and more than half of that call notional finished in the money.

🌟 Interesting trading research I came across:
A recent study on #Bitcoin found that slower momentum signals outperformed faster signals on a risk adjusted basis.
That makes a lot of sense.
The shorter your timeframe, the more you're reacting to noise. Every little pump looks like a breakout. Every dump looks like a trend change. You end up constantly adjusting to moves that ultimately don't matter.
Slower signals filter out more of that noise and force you to focus on the actual trend.
It's something I've learned over the years with my own trading:
You don't always need to react faster.
