Founded in 2013, Mercado Bitcoin’s business currently covers trading and exchange infrastructure, tokenized investment products, credit and lending, stablecoin-based payments, banking infrastructure, and cross-border financial services. Mercado Bitcoin serves 4.5 million users, has issued over 2 billion Brazilian reals in tokenized assets, and holds more than 10 operating licenses in Brazil and Europe, including a payment institution license, broker-dealer license, securitization platform license, and asset management license issued by the Central Bank of Brazil.
