Russia's largest bank Sberbank plans to launch a crypto wallet service by the end of the year, pending the new law taking effect.

ME News, July 6 (UTC+8), Russia's largest bank Sberbank plans to launch cryptocurrency wallet and digital asset custody services as early as December this year, after the new digital asset law "Law on Digital Currency and Digital Rights" takes effect on September 1, and integrate them into the Sberbank Online and SberInvestments platforms. Under the new regulations, Russia will establish a licensing system for crypto trading, custody, fiat exchange, and cross-border settlements, with an annual transaction limit of approximately 300k rubles (about 3,800 USD) for ordinary investors.
