For a long time, Chinas state-driven capitalism was scolded & viewed negatively by the West, and the system was seen as "artificial" and state-centric....

Funny how times change, and how people are slowly realizing which state system probably always had more legitimacy than the West cared to admit…
Because meanwhile, the West (above all the USA) is copying Chinas state-driven capitalism like never before, yet it doesn’t use this power of intervention to strengthen the system (for example, by making housing affordable for its population, as China has done), but rather to pump billions into tech corporations, further fueling the blatant oligarchy that has emerged in recent years and making the rich richer.
China, on the other hand, uses its state power of intervention, for instance, to lower housing prices in a controlled manner (well as controlled as possible tbf) & slowly let the air out of the real estate bubble, so that housing is no longer an object of speculation but rather becomes a basic right for the population once again. At the same time, this very capital is being redirected to where the entire world sees the future: deep tech & AI.
The West, rather, uses the "AI race" as a cover for expanding state control instruments - an excuse for subsidies that ultimately end up being used for stock buybacks and supporting oligopolies…
Anyone who possesses even a little critical thinking should slowly see that the facade is crumbling.
