The AI-generated notification claimed that Norway had beaten Brazil 3-2, with a brace from Erling Haaland, even though the match had not even started.
Worse still, the official Coinbase prediction markets page at the same time indicated that the match was delayed due to weather conditions and that no result was available.
Facing criticism, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that his teams were investigating the incident.
