ME News message: On July 6 (UTC+8), CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said that Bitcoin’s (BTC) Sharpe Ratio has fallen below -20 again, entering an extreme negative range. Although it has since rebounded slightly, historically, this level often corresponds to periods of extreme market pessimism. The Sharpe Ratio is used to measure investment returns relative to volatility risk; a negative value means the risk currently being taken is higher than the returns obtained. As of now, Bitcoin has been declining for the third consecutive quarter, with a drop of 16.1% in the most recent quarter. Such extreme bearish phases often last for weeks or even months and are often accompanied by the building of a new bottom, laying the foundation for the subsequent market restart. However, this indicator reflects long-term trends and should not be used as a short-term trading signal. (Source: BlockBeats)
