ZachXBT: A hacker withdrew 3,200 ETH from Tornado, then laundered approximately $5.5 million across chains via Circle's CCTP.

Mars Finance News, on-chain detective ZachXBT disclosed on his personal channel that a hacker withdrew approximately 3,200 ETH via Tornado Cash between July 2 and 3. The funds are linked to two private key leakage incidents. The address then used Circle's CCTP cross-chain bridge to launder approximately $5,500,000 in assets across chains, and further transferred USDC to 7 deposit addresses on the Arbitrum network. ZachXBT pointed out that the flow of funds exhibits a typical decentralized money laundering route, using mixing tools and cross-chain infrastructure to reduce tracking difficulty. The relevant on-chain assets are still in continuous circulation.
