ZachXBT: A hacker withdrew 3200 ETH and then laundered about $5.5 million through Circle CCTP cross-chain.
Odaily Planet Daily News According to ZachXBT monitoring, a hacker withdrew approximately 3,200 ETH through Tornado Cash between July 2 and 3, with the funds related to two private key leaks. They then used Circle's CCTP cross-chain bridge to launder approximately $5.5 million in assets across chains and transferred USDC to 7 deposit addresses on the Arbitrum network.
ZachXBT stated that the flow of funds shows a decentralized money laundering path, using mixing tools and cross-chain infrastructure to reduce traceability, and the relevant on-chain assets are still in continuous circulation.
