🗣 U.S. President Donald Trump said he does not know the details of his cryptocurrency projects that brought him at least $1.4 billion in 2025, but he has the right to receive this information, according to his CNBC interview.
“No. By the way, I could know about it. There is nothing illegal about it. There is nothing wrong with it. I could know,” Trump said in response to a question about whether he is familiar with the details of his cryptocurrency projects.
💬 CNBC host Joe Kernen cited Section 208 of Article 18 of the United States Code, which limits the participation of executive branch officials in decisions that affect their financial interests.
Trump replied that he did not know about this rule and said that virtually any business decision by his children could be considered a potential conflict because of the president’s powers.
According to the financial disclosure, World Liberty Financial brought Trump about $500 million, and CIC Digital received approximately $635 million from projects related to the TRUMP memecoin. Trump said he sees no violations in these revenues.
