ME News, April 24 (UTC+8), Republicans urge Trump to cancel the federal prosecutor's investigation into the Federal Reserve's renovation project, while Trump hints he may accept an alternative investigation method. On Thursday, when asked if someone outside the Department of Justice could find the answers he wants, Trump said: "Yes. I mean, look, it's easy." Senators and Treasury Secretary Bessent proposed that Congress investigate the Federal Reserve to replace the investigation by U.S. Attorney Piro, aiming to stop North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis from blocking Warsh's nomination as Federal Reserve chair. In response to another question, Trump said: "We need to find out what exactly went wrong." "It used to be beautiful, they tore it down, maybe because the maintenance cost was too high."
