One lesson the market keeps teaching me is that confidence and discipline are not the same thing.

I’ve seen confident traders blow accounts because they thought they couldn’t be wrong.
I’ve also seen disciplined traders recover from bad weeks because they respected their rules.
Confidence might get you into a trade.
Discipline is what keeps you in this game long enough to become consistently profitable.
If I had to choose one, I’d choose discipline every single time.
