Another thing traders don’t like admitting:
Some of the trades we call “bad luck” were simply bad decisions.
Entered too early.
Chased price.
Ignored invalidation.
Forced the setup.
Overleveraged.
Then price moves against us and suddenly it’s:
“Market manipulation.” 😂
Sometimes the market didn’t do anything to you.
You just made a bad decision. Own it, learn from it, and move on.

The internet will always show you the trader who caught the move.
The trader who turned $100 into $10,000.
The trader who never seems to lose.
But somewhere behind every polished trading account is a version of that trader that made mistakes nobody saw.
That’s the part I respect more.
Not the screenshot.
The years of becoming the person capable of producing it.
That’s the part nobody can fake forever.

There were times I knew I shouldn’t take a trade…
but I took it anyway.
Not because the setup was good.
Because I wanted action.
That’s one of the easiest ways to turn trading into gambling.
Sometimes you’re not looking for an opportunity.
You’re looking for a reason to click buy or sell.
Knowing the difference is important.

I’ve watched price run exactly where I expected after I decided not to take the trade.
And yes, it still hurts.
But I’ve learned something important:
A missed opportunity is cheaper than a forced trade.
The market will give you another setup.
Your account doesn’t need you to catch every move.

I still have days where I look at a setup, know exactly what I should do…
and somehow spend 10 minutes trying to convince myself not to take it.
Trading is funny like that.
You can have the experience.
You can have the model.
You can have the data.
And you can still have that little voice asking:
“Are you sure?”
The goal isn’t to eliminate that feeling.
It’s to learn when to listen to it and when to ignore it.

You just need to keep putting in the work, take more notes, pay closer attention to the details, and keep learning. Keep grinding and collecting more data the results you’re looking for in USD are closer than you think. 📈💰

One question I ask myself before entering a trade :
“If this trade loses, will I still be completely fine with the decision?”
If the answer is no, something isn’t right.
Maybe the risk is too high.
Maybe I’m forcing the setup.
Maybe I’m emotionally attached to the outcome.
A trade shouldn’t feel like your entire week depends on it.
If it does, reduce the risk or don’t take it.

The older I get in this game, the more questions I ask before I trade…
and the fewer trades I actually take.
Why here?
Why now?
What’s the confirmation?
Where am I wrong?
What’s the risk?
Is this actually my setup?
If I can’t answer those questions clearly, I don’t need another reason to enter.
I need a reason to stay out.
That’s probably one of the biggest differences between trading and gambling.

I don’t want to know what the market will do next.
I want to know what I’m going to do when it does.
That’s a completely different mindset.
If price gives me my setup, I know my plan.
If it invalidates the idea, I know my exit.
If nothing happens, I wait.
I stopped trying to predict every candle.
I started building responses to different scenarios.
Trading became much clearer after that.

I used to think a trader’s biggest flex was making a lot of money.
Now?
I think the bigger flex is being able to make money without taking stupid risks.
Anybody can have a crazy day.
Anybody can catch a big move.
Anybody can post a huge screenshot.
Show me someone who can protect capital, survive bad periods and keep executing the same edge.
That’s the trader I’m interested in.

There are things I believed about trading when I started that I completely disagree with today.
I thought more trades meant more opportunities.
I thought a high win rate meant a better trader.
I thought losing meant I was doing something wrong.
I thought I needed to predict the market.
I thought every day had to be profitable.
Experience has a funny way of correcting you.
Sometimes becoming better at trading isn’t about learning something new.
It’s unlearning what was never true.

You can’t stop a man who refuses to stop moving.
Once he’s locked in, disciplined, and determined, setbacks may slow him down, but they won’t stop him.
