Early in trading, I wanted action.
I wanted setups every session.
I wanted to catch the big move.
I wanted to finish every day knowing I made money.
Now I appreciate the days where absolutely nothing happens.
Because doing nothing when there is nothing to do is a skill.
A trader who needs action will eventually manufacture a reason to trade.
A trader who can wait doesn’t have to.

I think one of the biggest upgrades a trader can make is becoming less emotionally attached to being right.
If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.
Close the trade.
Take the information.
Move on.
Being wrong about a market doesn’t make your analysis worthless.
It makes you human.
The dangerous trader is not the one who gets things wrong.
It’s the one who refuses to admit it.

One of the strangest signs that you’re becoming a better trader is that trading starts becoming boring.
You stop needing to be in a position every day.
You stop getting excited by every candle.
You stop chasing moves because they look good.
You stop feeling like you have to prove your analysis.
You just wait.
Your level gets hit.
Your setup appears.
You execute.
If it doesn’t happen, you close the charts and go live your life.
The market doesn’t need to entertain you.
It needs to pay you when your edge appears.

A trader can spend two years learning technical analysis and still not know how to trade.
Because knowing what a liquidity sweep looks like isn’t the same as knowing when to leave the setup alone.
Knowing what an FVG is isn’t the same as knowing which ones are worth trading.
Knowing market structure isn’t the same as knowing when the structure isn’t clear enough to participate.
Knowledge gives you possibilities.
Experience teaches you which possibilities are actually worth taking.

You have been shorting GOLD since last week and it’s refusing to sell your brain should tell you wee bullish and it’s only a matter of time 4500 will get broken 😌

One thing experience changes in trading is your definition of a “good setup.”
When you’re new, a good setup is anything that looks like it could make money.
After enough screen time, you start asking different questions.
Does the location make sense?
Is there enough room for the trade to breathe?
Is the risk worth the potential return?
Does this fit my model?
Would I still take this trade if I wasn’t afraid of missing the move?
That’s when your eyes start seeing the market differently.

Father, as we step into a new week, please go before us.
Give us wisdom to make the right decisions, discipline to stay away from what isn’t for us, and strength to keep going when things don’t go according to plan.
Bless the work of our hands.
Open the right doors, close the wrong ones, protect us from decisions that could set us back, and give us the grace to recognize opportunities when they come.

One thing I’ve learned about life .
Some of the best things that happened to me came after something I desperately wanted didn’t work out.
At the time, I couldn’t understand it.
I was disappointed.
I thought I had missed my opportunity.
Looking back, I realize some doors had to close because I was being redirected somewhere better.
Not every rejection is a loss.
Sometimes it’s protection.

I just finished watching @I_Am_The_ICT latest YouTube video, “The Week in the Life of Price,” where he broke down Nasdaq price action and taught how price is likely to move.
Honestly, it was an awesome class. I really enjoyed it.
But one thing I genuinely love about @I_Am_The_ICT teaching is how he mixes humor and storytelling into his lessons. It makes everything feel more natural and memorable.
Especially when he talked about writing things down so he could come back and review them later, but sometimes forgetting because he has a beautiful wife who might walk by, drop a towel somewhere, and

At the end of the day, I don’t just want to be successful.
I want to be healthy enough to enjoy the success.
I want my family around me.
I want to have stories to tell, places I’ve visited, people I’ve met and memories I’ll never forget.
I’ll keep working hard.
I’ll keep chasing bigger goals.
I’ll keep building.
But I never want to become so obsessed with the life I’m trying to create that I forget to live the one I’m in.
We’re all going somewhere.
