I used to think a trader’s biggest flex was making a lot of money.
Now?
I think the bigger flex is being able to make money without taking stupid risks.
Anybody can have a crazy day.
Anybody can catch a big move.
Anybody can post a huge screenshot.
Show me someone who can protect capital, survive bad periods and keep executing the same edge.
That’s the trader I’m interested in.

There are things I believed about trading when I started that I completely disagree with today.
I thought more trades meant more opportunities.
I thought a high win rate meant a better trader.
I thought losing meant I was doing something wrong.
I thought I needed to predict the market.
I thought every day had to be profitable.
Experience has a funny way of correcting you.
Sometimes becoming better at trading isn’t about learning something new.
It’s unlearning what was never true.

You can’t stop a man who refuses to stop moving.
Once he’s locked in, disciplined, and determined, setbacks may slow him down, but they won’t stop him.

Maybe the goal isn’t to become the trader who wins the most.
Maybe it’s to become the trader who makes the fewest decisions that can seriously damage his account.
That’s a different mindset.
You don’t need to catch every move.
You don’t need to trade every day.
You don’t need the highest win rate.
You don’t need the biggest position.
You need an edge, risk management and enough discipline to stay alive long enough for the edge to matter.
That’s trading.

Here’s an unpopular trading opinion:
I don’t think taking more trades makes you a more experienced trader.
Sometimes it does the exact opposite.
You can spend three years taking every setup you see and still have less experience than someone who spent one year learning to wait for only the setups that actually fit their model.
Screen time isn’t automatically experience.
What you learn from the screen matters more.

One thing I would never do again as a trader:
Confuse my last trade with my actual skill.
Won a trade → “I’m getting good.”
Lost a trade → “Maybe I don’t know what I’m doing.”
That’s emotional thinking.
A good trade can lose money.
A bad trade can make money.
Your result is one outcome.
Your skill shows up across a large sample of well-executed trades.
Rule: Judge each trade by whether you followed your plan not by whether it made money.

Father, thank You for another week.
Give us wisdom to make better decisions, discipline to stay away from what isn’t for us, and strength to keep going when things don’t happen as quickly as we want.
Bless the work of our hands.
Protect us from greed, fear, desperation and decisions we’ll regret later.
Open the right doors.
Close the wrong ones.
And give us the wisdom to know the difference.

Some seasons will humble you.
Some will teach you.
Some will stretch you.
Some will force you to start over.
And some will introduce you to a version of yourself you didn’t know existed.
Don’t hate every difficult season.
Some of the strongest parts of you were built during the moments you wanted to give up.

I used to think having more money would solve everything.
Now I know better.
Money solves money problems.
It doesn’t automatically give you peace.
It doesn’t give you genuine friends.
It doesn’t fix your health.
It doesn’t create meaningful relationships.
It doesn’t give you purpose.
Make the money.
But don’t neglect everything money can’t buy.

Sometimes we forget how much God has already brought us through.
There were moments you thought you wouldn’t make it past.
Things that broke your heart.
Seasons that tested your faith.
Situations you didn’t know how you would recover from.
Yet somehow, you’re still here.
Still breathing.
Still trying.
Still believing.
Before you ask God for everything you want this week, take a moment to thank Him for everything He already brought you through.

As you get older, you realize you don’t need to impress everybody.
I don’t care if you think I’m moving too fast.
I don’t care if you think I’m moving too slow.
I don’t care if you don’t understand what I’m building.
I don’t care if somebody else is ahead of me.
I’m genuinely more interested in becoming the person I want to be than looking impressive to people watching me.
Peace over validation.

Money is important.
Anyone telling you otherwise probably hasn’t experienced what it’s like to genuinely struggle.
Money can give you options.
It can take pressure off your family.
It can buy back your time.
It can give you access to experiences you couldn’t afford before.
But money is a tool.
The real goal is what that tool allows you to do with your life.
