Codex adds browser operations: after writing the frontend, click it yourself to close the coding-verification loop.

AIMPACT news: On April 24 (UTC+8), according to Dongcha Beating monitoring, OpenAI Codex has added a browser use feature. Coding agents can now operate the browser within the application. After developers let Codex generate frontend code, Codex can open the built-in browser on its own, click the rendered UI like a real person, and discover and fix bugs through on-screen visuals and network/console logs, without needing developers to manually switch out to verify. This feature runs via the Browser plugin built into Codex, and users can manage a list of allowed and blocked websites in the settings. OpenAI Codex engineer James Sun said this update brings Codex “closer to a fully automated coding agent that can deliver high-quality, tested code changes.” (Source: BlockBeats)
