Data: Ethereum's total on-chain yield in Q2 dropped to 2.68%, down 61% year-over-year.

Mars Finance News, according to The DeFi Report on Ethereum’s Q2 ecosystem performance, Ethereum’s Q2 real economic value (REV) was $88.4 million, up 7% quarter-over-quarter and down 68% year-over-year. The report shows that Q2 real on-chain yield averaged only 0.17%, down 14% quarter-over-quarter and 61% year-over-year; total on-chain yield (including issuance) was 2.68%, of which issuance accounted for 94%, with priority fees and MEV contributing only 0.17%. L1 GDP, DeFi activity, and L2 participation all continued to weaken significantly. The report points out that although user experience and throughput have improved, L1 fee capture capability remains weak, and in the future, it will be necessary to smooth out cyclical fluctuations through real-world applications such as RWA as a settlement layer.
