According to reports from Bloomberg and others, music streaming platform Spotify has requested Kalshi and Polymarket to remove the Spotify Logo, and clarified that neither platform has a partnership with Spotify. Previously, Spotify deleted over 500k artificially generated streams of Malcolm Todd’s song "Earrings," which had been artificially pushed to the top of Spotify’s U.S. charts. Reports state that related data was used to settle a prediction market on Kalshi regarding the most-streamed song on Spotify in the U.S. in June, with a trading volume of approximately $3 million. Spotify confirmed the existence of artificial streams but has not yet confirmed whether the intention was to manipulate the prediction market.
