Is the current position of ETH long or short?
Currently, it's in the final push-up phase of the high range. Once the push ends, the short-term bullish momentum will be over again. Continue to wait for the bottom long entry point.
I believe chasing longs or shorting at this level is uncomfortable for either side. Being flat is the most suitable option, or you can short with a stop-loss.
There might be some special situation causing consolidation. I heard that Old Wang has placed a short order, so it hasn't been able to drop yet.
If you are already in a position like me and have entered, you can open a hedging long near 1708 with a stop-loss, or open a hedging long if it breaks the high.
My short order at 1682 below hasn't had a chance to exit. If it makes a new high, the strategy is to open a hedging long.
