Trump Responds to Making Big Money During His Term, Recent Bullish Outlook Meets Expectations! July 3 BTC and ETH Thoughts
In an interview with CNBC on Thursday local time, Trump dodged questions about the gains he made during his term, saying his business affairs are handled by his sons and that he is unaware of the cryptocurrency investments that netted him over $1 billion. “I’ve always been making money,” he said. “I’m a businessman—and a very good one. I made money, a fairly substantial amount.” He pointed out that other people are responsible for investing his wealth, and he doesn’t know who they are. “I let others manage this money. I didn’t even talk to them—I don’t even know who they are,” he said. “My son Eric handles this. I don’t discuss these kinds of things with him.” The latest financial disclosure report shows that last year he earned about $1.2 billion from holdings across various cryptocurrencies. He said he is not aware of these investments. “I don’t know. But it’s not illegal. I could have known,” he said, adding that there is no legal requirement to “recuse yourself from every decision that might be related to you while managing the country. That simply isn’t practical.”
The recent call to go long BTC at 58000–58500 and to go long ETH at 1500–1530 has been validated. This batch of longs can capture nearly 4,000 points on BTC and nearly 200 points on ETH—stay with the move and eat the profits! The technical picture is already clearly bullish, and in addition to the momentum from spot ETFs ending the streak of consecutive net outflows—yesterday saw net inflows of more than $200 million. So the intraday stance of holding pullback longs remains unchanged, but since US stocks are closed today, we can consider a short near the highs!
July 3 Long Position Strategy:
BTC pullback entry at 59500–6万; long. Conservative entry at 58500–59000; defense near 58000. Targets: 61000–61500–62000. If it breaks through, look at 62500–63000. If it continues to break through, move the stop-loss and take profit as conditions warrant!
ETH pullback entry at 1600–1630; long. Conservative entry at 1530–1560; defense near 1500. Targets: 1650–1700–1720. If it breaks through, look at 1750–1780. If it continues to break through, move the stop-loss and take profit as conditions warrant!
July 3 Short Position Strategy:
BTC rebound short at 62500–63000, one position. Defense at 63500. Targets: around 61500–61000. If it breaks through, look at around 60500–6万. If it continues to break through, move the stop-loss and take profit as conditions warrant!
ETH rebound short at 1730–1750, one position. Defense around 1780. Targets: around 1700–1670. If it breaks through, look at 1650–1630–1600.
The small Non-Farm Payrolls came in worse than expected, and the big Non-Farm Payrolls also unexpectedly turned out cold. The Fed’s rate-hike steps have to be delayed, but the US-Iran negotiations cannot be concluded smoothly—so the crypto bulls will still face pressure. Therefore, for now, don’t be overly bullish!
